Abstract | Based on reporting forms from nearly 500 teachers, the booklet identifies effective materials for use with exceptional learners. Contents are divided into various exceptionality areas (educable mentally retarded, trainable mentally retarded, severely and profoundly retarded, communication handicapped, learning disabled, emotionally disturbed, deaf and hearing impaired, blind and visually impaired, physically handicapped, and multiply handicapped) and where appropriate by level (primary, intermediate, etc.) and curricular area (math, reading, etc.). Materials are listed alphabetically by title with the publisher in the appropriate section. A directory of selected publishers is also included. (SBH) |
